Community Involvement

We at Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack work and live in the community where we serve, so it is only right that we do our share. Below are just some of the ways we help:The Charity Cup Event is one of the many ways Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack gives back to the local community.  Finger Lakes provides a $30,000 community donation to be split among six local charities. Selection of the participating organizations is based upon several factors including, but not limited to an assessment of overall need, services provided, and the potential impact within the community of the specific initiative to be supported by funds awarded from the event. The day of the event includes each charity participating in an interactive event surrounding a day of thoroughbred racing.  The charity that earns the most points will take home the Cup and the top award of $10,000.  Each charity comes away a winner and will be awarded the following prizes from $6,000 – $2,000, depending on the outcome of the event. The 2014 Charity Cup will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014.  This year’s participants are:

  • Serenity House
  • Thrive to Survive
  • Ontario County ARC
  • Mary Cariola Childrens Center
  • The Green Angels
  • World of Wildlife Educational Encounters
